How does Jesus serve as our high priest?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus serves as our high priest by entering the presence of God on our behalf, representing and interceding for us.

The book of Hebrews explains that Jesus did not enter human-made holy places but ascended to heaven to appear in the presence of God for us (Hebrews 9:24). As our high priest, He is the ultimate mediator, having made the perfect sacrifice once and for all. There are no longer any priests needed because Jesus fulfills that role completely. His intercession for us is ongoing, which assures believers that they are continuously represented before the Father, reinforcing the assurance of our salvation and His everlasting advocacy.
