How does Joseph's life reflect Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Joseph's life is a typological foreshadowing of Christ's suffering and eventual exaltation.

Joseph serves as a type of Christ throughout his narrative, embodying righteousness, suffering for the sins of others, and ultimately achieving victory. Like Christ, Joseph faced betrayal, false accusations, and unjust punishment; however, these trials were part of God's divine plan for redemption. Joseph's journey from the pit to prominence illustrates how suffering can lead to salvation, echoing the greater redemptive arc found in the life of Christ, who suffered for the sins of His people and is now exalted at the right hand of the Father.
