How does Manoah's reaction reflect our own response to God's workings?

Answered in 1 source

Manoah's reaction of simply 'looking on' is a model for us to observe and marvel at God's miraculous workings in our lives.

Manoah and his wife's response to the miraculous announcement and ensuing events serves as a powerful lesson in faith and humility. They simply 'looked on' (Judges 13:20) in amazement as God acted in a way that was entirely outside their ability to influence. This passive demeanor signifies a trusting acceptance of God's sovereignty. In our own lives, we are often called to a similar stance—acknowledging the extent of our limitations while observing and participating in God's wondrous works. By refraining from attempting to control outcomes, we can find peace in God's providential care, much like Manoah and his wife, who were profoundly aware of their unworthiness but amazed by God's grace.
