How does Moses' ark relate to salvation in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Moses' ark serves as a type of Christ, absorbing judgment to save those inside.

Moses' ark, made from bulrushes and daubed with pitch, represents Jesus Christ, who absorbs God’s judgment for our sins. Just as Moses was placed in the ark to be delivered from death, believers are 'in Christ' and thus saved from the wrath to come. The ark, befouled but able to protect, is akin to Christ, who took our sin upon Himself on the cross (2 Corinthians 5:21). This imagery reinforces the core of the Gospel: salvation through union with Christ, where His righteousness covers us.
