How does one approach Jesus for healing?

Answered in 1 source

One must approach Jesus for healing with humility, faith, and a recognition of their need for mercy.

To approach Jesus for healing, as demonstrated in Mark 5, one must first recognize their condition—spiritually impoverished and in need of divine intervention. Like Jairus, one must come as a 'mercy beggar'. The importance of humility cannot be overstated; both Jairus and the woman with the issue of blood came before Jesus in a broken and contrite spirit. Additionally, faith plays a crucial role, as seen in the woman's belief that merely touching Jesus' garment would heal her. This reflects a posture of expectation and trust in His capabilities. Finally, confession of need is vital; the act of asking Jesus for help is itself an acknowledgment of His authority to heal and save.
