How does one receive peace with God?

Answered in 1 source

Peace with God is received through faith in Jesus Christ, acknowledging that our sins are atoned for through His sacrifice.

To receive peace with God, one must come to the acknowledgment that their sins are completely atoned for through the blood of Jesus Christ. As expressed in Colossians 1:20, it is Christ who made peace through His sacrifice, reconciling all things to Himself. This means that our belief in Christ and trust in His finished work on the cross are the means by which we attain peace and an intimate relationship with God. This peace isn't earned by our deeds; rather, it is the result of God's grace manifesting itself through faith in His Son.
