How does one truly praise God?

Answered in 1 source

True praise to God comes from a heart transformed by His Spirit, not merely through outward expressions.

In the sermon, it is asserted that authentic praise is a result of the Holy Spirit's work within an individual. Praise is not about performing rituals or singing songs; rather, it is an outpouring of gratitude that stems from an understanding of God’s mercy and grace. As David declares in Psalm 57, 'I will sing and give praise,' this commitment reflects a fixed heart focused on God. Genuine worship occurs when individuals grasp their need for divine mercy and respond in joy and adoration. Only through the Holy Spirit are we enabled to praise God truly, as it aligns with our acknowledgment of who He is and what He has accomplished for us in Christ.
