How does prayer connect to faith?

Answered in 1 source

Prayer is the natural expression of faith, demonstrating our dependence on God for everything.

Prayer and faith are inseparably connected in the Christian experience. Faith is what prompts believers to cry out to God in prayer, as seen in 1 Peter 1:23, where it is by God's Word we are born again. This faith recognizes our neediness and helplessness, turning us toward God in prayer for guidance, provision, and forgiveness. In prayer, we acknowledge the sovereignty of God in our lives and trust Him for the workings of His grace, as we see in the example of Daniel, who prayed earnestly from a place of humility and desperation. Therefore, prayer reflects the vibrant life of faith, acting as a means through which God underscores His grace in our lives.
