Preaching is crucial for both the inception and the sustenance of faith. Romans 10:17 states that 'faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.' This shows that it is through the proclamation of the Gospel that individuals are brought to faith, and it is through ongoing preaching that believers are encouraged and fortified in their faith. The faithful exposition of Scripture serves as the primary vehicle for God to nourish His people’s faith and to remind them of His promises.
