How does preaching relate to God's sovereignty?

Answered in 1 source

Preaching reflects God's sovereignty as He uses His Word to effectually call His elect to eternal life.

In the context of sovereign grace theology, preaching is a crucial avenue through which God's sovereignty is displayed. God orchestrates the means of preaching to effectually call His elect from spiritual death to life, as illustrated in Ezekiel's vision of the dry bones. The sovereignty of God assures us that, while preachers proclaim the message, it is ultimately God who breathes life into the hearers (Ezekiel 37:5-6). Thus, preaching is both a gift and a responsibility, intended to reveal God’s sovereignty in salvation and His active work in the hearts of the unresponsive.
