How does righteousness give us boldness as Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Righteousness gives us boldness because it assures us of our acceptance before God, freeing us from fear.

Righteousness is foundational to the boldness of a believer because it confirms our standing before God. As stated in 2 Corinthians 5:21, we have been made the righteousness of God in Christ. This righteousness, received by faith, assures us that we are viewed as holy and blameless before the Lord. Consequently, rather than being fearful or hesitant when approaching God, we can come confidently to Him because we know we are accepted in Christ. Sin, which brings fear, has been dealt with, and this liberation allows us to embrace the boldness inherent in our new identity as righteous people, affirming that we possess the right to approach our Father without hesitation.
