How does sin affect the believer after accepting Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Though believers are free from sin's dominion, the struggle against sin remains a part of the Christian life.

The apostle Paul teaches that while believers are freed from the dominion of sin (as noted in Romans 6), they still encounter the reality of sin in their lives. The difference is that sin can no longer condemn or rule them; instead, believers are now empowered by the Holy Spirit to resist sin and live in accordance with God's will. This ongoing struggle is part of the Christian journey, where we continuously seek to grow in holiness and rely on grace as we work out our salvation with fear and trembling, recognizing our need for Christ at every stage of our lives.
