How does sovereign grace theology view the responsibility of man?

Answered in 1 source

While emphasizing God's sovereignty, sovereign grace theology recognizes that humans are responsible to respond to the gospel (Romans 10:14-15).

Sovereign grace theology balances God’s sovereignty with human responsibility. Although God elects and regenerates His people, the Scriptures also command individuals to believe and respond to the gospel (Romans 10:14-15). This is not a contradiction; rather, it highlights that God’s sovereign calling leads to a willing response. Believers are given the grace to respond to the gospel, demonstrating that while God initiates and enables faith, there is also an expectation for individuals to act upon that grace, ultimately resulting in their salvation.
