How does spiritual birth affect a believer's life?

Answered in 1 source

Spiritual birth transforms a believer's desires and enables fellowship with God (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Spiritual birth, or regeneration, radically alters a believer's entire disposition and experience. As described in 2 Corinthians 5:17, 'If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.' This transformation leads to new desires that reflect a longing for communion with God and obedience to His will. Born-again believers develop an appetite for God's Word, prayer, and worship, evidencing their changed heart and renewed mind grounded in their relationship with Christ.
