How does the Bible describe our sinful nature?

The Bible presents a sobering view of humanity's sinful nature, declaring that we were born estranged from God and inclined to wickedness. Psalm 58:3 states, 'The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.' This depiction affirms the total depravity of man outlined in Reformed theology, which posits that every aspect of human nature is tainted by sin. Consequently, without divine intervention, humanity remains in a state of perpetual rebellion against God.
