How does the doctrine of election influence evangelism?

Answered in 1 source

The doctrine of election does not dampen but rather energizes evangelism, as it assures that God has a people who will respond to the Gospel.

Some may assume that the doctrine of election might discourage evangelism by suggesting that only the elect will be saved. However, the opposite is true; it stimulates a fervent missionary spirit. Jesus, who taught election, also demonstrated immense concern for the lost by coming to redeem sinners. Historical examples from missionaries like Paul and modern figures reveal that a firm belief in God’s sovereign grace compels them to share the Gospel actively, trusting that God will work through their efforts. The elect will respond, and proclaiming the good news becomes a joyful responsibility rather than a futile endeavor.
