How does the Gospel bring peace in suffering?

Answered in 1 source

The Gospel assures us of God's sovereignty and the hope of eternal life, providing peace amidst life's trials.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ offers profound peace, especially in times of suffering. By proclaiming that Christ has overcome the world, believers are reminded that their ultimate hope is not found in present circumstances but in the eternal life promised through faith in Him. Suffering, although painful, is transformed into an opportunity for growth and reliance on God's strength. Paul illustrates this in his letters, stressing that the afflictions endured in this life are momentary compared to the eternal glory that awaits (2 Corinthians 4:17-18). This perspective brings comfort and peace, knowing that their labor in the Lord is not in vain, and that every trial serves a greater purpose in God's redemptive plan.
