How does the gospel function in healing and salvation?

Answered in 1 source

The gospel serves both to convict of sin and to bring healing through faith in Christ.

The gospel acts as a dual-edged sword, both revealing our sinful condition and providing the means for salvation through Christ. In Luke 6, the healing of the man with the withered hand illustrates how Jesus releases individuals from their spiritual paralysis, offering healing and restoration. The gospel's power is evident in that it brings about both a realization of one's inability to save oneself and a call to faith in Jesus, who is able to transform lives. It is through the preaching of the gospel that individuals are convicted of their sins and simultaneously drawn to the mercy of Christ, manifesting His saving grace.
