How does the Gospel provide spiritual sight?

Answered in 1 source

The Gospel provides spiritual sight by revealing the truth of Christ, illuminating our understanding through the Holy Spirit.

The Gospel is the means through which God reveals Himself and grants spiritual sight to the spiritually blind. As seen in Mark 8:22-26, the healing of the blind man symbolizes the gradual process of coming to understand the truth of Christ. Initially, the man sees men like trees, indicating a partial understanding. However, through Christ’s continual work—emphasized by His touching and teaching—the man ultimately sees clearly. The Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in this process as He guides believers into all truth (John 16:13), opening their eyes to comprehend the depth of God’s grace, mercy, and sovereignty, leading them to a fuller relationship with Christ.
