How does the Gospel provide strength to believers?

Answered in 1 source

The Gospel provides strength by revealing our dependency on Christ instead of our own works.

Believers draw strength from the Gospel through the recognition of their own weaknesses and reliance on Christ’s sufficiency. As discussed in Isaiah 52, believers are called to put on their strength, which is fundamentally the strength found in Christ. In our own inability, we learn that divine strength is made perfect in our weakness, as shown in 2 Corinthians 12:9. The Gospel reminds us daily that we have access to God’s strength, helping us to combat temptation, overcome sin, and live righteously. This reliance fosters a deep-rooted assurance that God equips us for our journey as we continue to grow in our understanding and acceptance of His grace.
