How does the Gospel reveal God's character?

Answered in 2 sources

The Gospel reveals God's character by highlighting His holiness, justice, and love through Christ's atoning sacrifice.

The Gospel not only shares the good news of salvation but also serves as a declaration of God's true character. It exposes His holiness in the context of our sinfulness, revealing that justice requires a penalty for sin, which was taken by Christ on the cross. Through the events surrounding the crucifixion, God's mercy and grace are also highlighted, showing that He has made provision for sinners to be justified. Thus, the Gospel acts as a mirror reflecting God’s attributes, namely His absolute justice and infinite love, which meet perfectly in the person of Jesus Christ.
