How does the Gospel reveal God's love?

Answered in 1 source

The Gospel reveals God's love by showing that Christ's sacrifice was necessary for the atonement of sin.

In the Gospel, the heart of God's love is revealed through the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, who bore our sins as our substitute. As noted in John 3:14-15, Jesus likens Himself to the serpent lifted in the wilderness, stating that He must be lifted up so that all who believe in Him may have eternal life. This act of self-sacrifice illustrates that God did not withhold anything from us, as Christ was made sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Thus, the Gospel encapsulates the fullness of God’s love, as it conveys both the depth of our need for salvation and the lengths to which God went to secure it for His chosen ones.
