How does the Holy Spirit convince us of judgment?

In John 16:11, Jesus states that the Holy Spirit will convict of judgment because the 'prince of this world is judged.' This refers to the victory of Christ over sin and judgment, which assures believers that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Him (Romans 8:1).
