How does the Holy Spirit help us to believe?

Answered in 1 source

The Holy Spirit opens our eyes and hearts to understand and accept the truth of the Gospel.

The Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in the life of a believer by enabling us to understand and accept the truth of the Gospel. Scripture teaches us that it is the Spirit who convicts us of sin, reveals the glory of Christ, and transforms our hearts to respond in faith. As indicated in John 6:29, the work of God is to believe in Him whom He has sent. Therefore, it is the Holy Spirit who empowers this belief, illuminating the truth of God's Word and bringing about a genuine faith that leads us to Christ. This is significant because, without the Holy Spirit's intervention, we would remain in spiritual darkness, unable to perceive God's light and grace in our lives.
