How does the law prepare us for faith in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The law reveals our sin and drives us to seek justification through faith in Christ.

The law serves as a tutor, showing us our moral failures and our complete inability to reach God's standards. Romans 7:7 explains that without the law, we remain unaware of our sin. When we grasp the depth of our sinfulness through the law, it compels us to seek God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who fulfills the law on our behalf. Thus, the law's purpose is not to save, but to direct us to Christ, the only one who can justify us before God.
