How does the law relate to Christian living?

Answered in 1 source

The law serves as a reflection of Christ, guiding believers to live out their faith through dependence on Him.

The law of the Lord is fundamentally a representation of Christ Himself. As Greg Elmquist aptly explains, the scriptures instruct us to reflect on Christ, rather than see the law as a mere list of rules. He states, 'We don't take the law of the Lord and separate it from Christ.' Instead, we see the law as 'perfect,' designed to convert the soul and turn us to Christ. Therefore, Christian living is not about rule-keeping but about living in light of what Christ has done for us and responding to His power in our lives.
