How does the law relate to our salvation?

Answered in 1 source

The law exposes our sin and cannot save us; only faith in Christ can justify us.

The law serves to expose our sinful nature, revealing our inability to attain righteousness on our own. Galatians 3:11 illustrates that no man can be justified by the law; it only condemns. This highlights our desperate need for a Savior, leading us to Christ, who fulfills the law perfectly. Rather than relying on our works to justify us, we place our faith in Jesus Christ, who is the end of the law for righteousness, as proclaimed in Romans 10:4. Thus, our righteousness is wholly dependent on Him, reinforcing the concept that salvation is by grace through faith.
