How does the new birth relate to Christ being our life?

The new birth is a fundamental aspect of a believer's life, as it signifies the transformative work of the Holy Spirit. When a person is born again, they receive spiritual life which is fundamentally different from physical existence. This new life is entwined with Christ, for as John 14:19 states, 'Because I live, you shall live also.' This union with Christ means that His life becomes our life; His resurrection becomes our assurance of eternal life. Consequently, believers are called to live in accordance with this new nature, constantly seeking to express the life of Christ in every aspect of their existence.
