How does the resurrection relate to Christian hope?

Answered in 1 source

The resurrection is the cornerstone of Christian hope, promising believers eternal life and victory over death.

The resurrection of Christ not only confirms His identity as the Son of God but also serves as a guarantee for the resurrection of believers. As Paul articulates in 1 Corinthians 15:53-54, "For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality: so when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory." This hope is grounded in the belief that Christ's resurrection assures us of our own future resurrection, enabling Christians to face the trials of life with confidence and steadfastness, knowing that death has been defeated and eternal life awaits those who are in Christ.
