How does the sermon explain the relationship between law and grace?

Answered in 1 source

The sermon explains that while the law demands perfect obedience, grace provides freedom from the law through faith in Christ.

In the sermon, the relationship between law and grace is distinctly outlined. The law represents God's perfect standard of righteousness, and as Moses presented to Pharaoh, the burdens upon God's people illustrate the impossible demands of the law. However, grace enters the picture as the means by which believers are liberated from the law's condemnation. Paul writes in Galatians 5:1, 'Stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free.' This liberty is rooted in Christ's fulfillment of the law on our behalf. Thus, Christians are called to rest in the grace that Christ provides, knowing that they are not justified by works but through faith in His redemptive act.
