How does the sovereignty of God bring comfort in difficult times?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty assures us that He is in control, providing comfort during our struggles.

Believers find great comfort in God's sovereignty, especially during trials. The assurance that 'my times are in thy hand' (Psalm 31:15) helps believers to rest in the knowledge that nothing is outside of God's control. This truth enables us to face challenges with courage, knowing that God is working all things for our good. Furthermore, during difficult seasons, we can remember Ecclesiastes 3, which teaches that there is an appointed time for every season in our lives. Relying on God’s sovereign plan allows us to endure hardships with a sense of peace, trusting that we can cast our cares upon Him, as He is aware of our struggles and has a purpose for them.
