How does the tabernacle teach us about our relationship with Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The tabernacle serves as a model of Christ’s work and our relationship with Him as our High Priest and source of holiness.

The tabernacle represents a foreshadowing of Christ’s redemptive work and the relationship believers have with Him. Aaron and his sons, as priests, typify Christ, our eternal High Priest, who alone maintains the light in our lives through the Holy Spirit. The requirement for pure oil symbolizes the holiness and perfection that God demands, which can only be met through Christ’s substitutionary sacrifice. By coming to Christ and relying on His righteousness, believers are continually filled with the Holy Spirit. Just as the tabernacle was the place where God met with His people, through Christ, we now have direct access to God and the means to live in holiness.
