How does the Trinity work in our salvation?

Answered in 1 source

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit each play distinct roles in the salvation of believers.

In the framework of salvation, all three persons of the Trinity are actively involved in the process of redemption. The Father initiates salvation by sending the Son to atone for sin (Romans 8:32). The Son, through His willing sacrifice, fulfills the redemptive requirement, justifying all who believe in Him. Meanwhile, the Holy Spirit works in the present tense, applying this salvation through conviction, regeneration, and continual sanctification. As we read in Romans 8, the Spirit intercedes for us and helps us in our daily struggles. This triune work highlights the depth of God's love and the comprehensive nature of His plan for our salvation.
