How does the trust in God relate to the concept of inheritance?

Answered in 1 source

Our trust in God secures our inheritance as His children, granted through Christ.

In Ephesians 1:11, we learn that in Christ, we have obtained an inheritance. Trusting in God as our Savior secures our place as children of God, which carries the privilege of inheriting all spiritual blessings. The concept of inheritance in Scripture is deeply entwined with God’s covenant promises and His unchanging nature. Just as a father entrusts an estate to a trustee for his heirs, God has entrusted all things to Christ, who distributes spiritual blessings to those who believe. This inheritance is not earned by our works but is given freely to those who trust in Him, solidifying our identity as joint heirs with Christ.
