How does viewing the sacrifice of Jesus change our perception of sin?

Answered in 1 source

Viewing Christ’s sacrifice reveals the gravity of sin and the cost of our salvation.

When we consider the sacrifice of Jesus, as described in Isaiah where He bears the iniquities of many, we understand the full weight of sin—both for the individual and for Christ. His suffering on the cross serves as a vivid reminder of the filthiness of sin, prompting us to view it in its true nature. This perspective should lead us to a heartfelt repentance and gratitude, recognizing that our redemption came at a tremendous cost. Therefore, the more we comprehend what Christ endured because of sin, the more we understand its exceeding sinfulness and the grace that covers us.
