How is Jesus our great High Priest?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is our great High Priest who intercedes for us, having fully satisfied divine justice through His sacrifice.

In Hebrews 4:14-16, Jesus is depicted as our great High Priest, who has ascended into heaven and is in a unique position to sympathize with our weaknesses. He was tempted in every way yet remained sinless, allowing Him to fully understand our struggles. His role as High Priest includes not only offering Himself as the ultimate sacrifice for sin, but also sitting at the right hand of the Father to mediate for His people. This assures believers that they can approach the throne of grace confidently to receive mercy and help in times of need, knowing their prayers are heard and answered by the one who knows their condition intimately.
