How is Jesus represented in the Book of Esther?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is symbolized by Esther as the one who intercedes for His people and secures their salvation through His sacrifice.

In the Book of Esther, Esther represents Jesus Christ as the one who comes before the sovereign king to plead for her people. Just as Esther risked her life to save the Jews from destruction, Christ risked everything to secure salvation for His people. She was highly favored by the king and interceded on behalf of her people, paralleling how Christ stands before God the Father, interceding for us. The narrative highlights how Esther’s willingness to put herself in danger reminds believers of Christ's willingness to suffer and die to save His people. Thus, we see that Esther's actions reflect the greater redemptive work of Jesus, who also represents His people before the Father and provides the means for their acceptance.
