How is our inheritance obtained according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

Our inheritance is obtained through God's predestining grace and the redemptive work of Christ.

According to Ephesians 1:11, our inheritance is obtained in Christ through the sovereign choice of God, highlighting the doctrine of predestination. Just as a child inherits from a parent by birthright, believers inherit from God as His adopted children, not through personal merit but by His grace. Moreover, Hebrews 9:15 illustrates that this inheritance comes at the cost of Christ's death, making Him the mediator of the New Covenant, thus securing for us the promise of eternal life and fellowship with God.
