How is salvation connected to the gospel?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is intrinsically connected to the gospel as it is the message that proclaims how sinners are saved through Christ.

The connection between salvation and the gospel is clear in Romans 1:16, which asserts that the gospel itself is the power of God unto salvation. Salvation is presented as a completed work through the sacrificial death of Christ, whose redemptive act satisfied the requirements of God's righteousness. The gospel, therefore, not only announces the provision of salvation but also serves as the means by which individuals are drawn to faith and made new creations in Christ.
