How must we serve as faithful Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Faithful Christians are called to grow in grace and knowledge and to occupy until Christ returns (2 Peter 3:18).

To serve as faithful Christians, we are tasked with the responsibility of growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, as per 2 Peter 3:18. The command to occupy until Christ returns implies active engagement in our faith, exercising the gifts and graces we have received from God. These graces, such as love, joy, and peace, are meant to be increased and cultivated throughout our lives. Failure to actively engage and seek growth in our faith risks being classified as unfaithful servants, as illustrated in the parable shared in Luke 19. The faithful will be those who challenge themselves to bear fruit and glorify God, as they look forward to His return.
