How should Christians handle conflict with other believers?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should seek reconciliation directly and humbly, prioritizing unity.

In Matthew 18:15, Jesus instructs that if a brother sins against you, you are to go to him privately to address the issue directly. This approach fosters humility and seeks personal reconciliation rather than gossip or division. If the brother listens, you've gained your brother back, preserving the relationship. If he doesn’t, further steps involving witnesses are to be taken. The emphasis in this process is on restoration rather than retribution, reflecting God's desire for unity and peace among His people. Additionally, we should always endeavor to let minor grievances go, as love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). It is essential that we approach conflicts with a heart willing to forgive.
