How should Christians respond to feelings of discouragement?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are encouraged to turn to God, seek His presence, and hope in His promises during times of discouragement.

When facing discouragement, Christians are called to respond by looking to God, much like David did in Psalms 42. He repeatedly reminds himself to 'hope in God' despite his feelings of despair. This call to hope emphasizes the need for prayer and reliance on God's grace, which is sufficient to sustain us through trials. In Matthew 11:28, Christ invites the weary to come to Him for rest, offering peace amid life’s afflictions. Therefore, believers should actively seek God through prayer, scripture, and community, finding solace in His steadfast love and promises.
