How should Christians respond to feelings of insecurity in old age?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should turn to God in their insecurities, trusting in His promises and seeking His help through prayer.

In Psalm 71, the psalmist voices his fears of being forsaken in old age, saying, 'Cast me not off in the time of old age' (Psalm 71:9). This vulnerable admission reminds believers that experiencing insecurity is part of the human condition, especially as life changes. The response encouraged in Scripture is to trust in God’s character and promises, asking for His help as the psalmist does throughout the prayer. By remembering God’s past faithfulness and strength, Christians can find comfort and reassurance, allowing their lives to be a testimony of faith even in vulnerable times.
