How should Christians respond to God's correction?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should humbly seek God's guidance and confess their sins in response to correction.

When God corrects His people, the appropriate response is one of humility and repentance. Jonah's plight serves as a reminder that acknowledgment of one's faults is crucial. He ultimately recognized his wrongdoing and accepted the consequences, stating, 'You just take me up and throw me over.' This willingness to confront one's sin and seek God's mercy is vital for restoration. In our own lives, when we face the discipline of God, we should earnestly pray, 'Lord, is it I?' and openly seek forgiveness. By doing so, we maintain our relationship with God and contribute to the health of the church's spiritual life.
