How should Christians respond to offenses?

Answered in 2 sources

Christians are called to respond to offenses with love, forgiveness, and a pursuit of peace.

Scripture indicates that offenses will occur (Luke 17:1), but Jesus teaches us to handle them with grace. In Matthew 18:21-22, He underscores the importance of forgiveness among brethren. The pursuit of peace in the church, as encouraged in Ephesians 4:32, includes being kind and tenderhearted, which fosters unity. Rather than responding with anger, which leads to strife (Proverbs 14:29), Christians are encouraged to confront sin with a spirit of gentleness, aiming for restoration and reconciliation. This approach not only honors God but builds up the body of Christ.
