How should Christians run their race of faith?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should run their race by keeping their aim in view and striving against sin and temptation.

To run the race of faith effectively, Christians must keep their aim—eternal life and fellowship with God—in clear view. As directed in Hebrews 12:1, believers are encouraged to run with patience, looking unto Jesus as the author and finisher of their faith. This entails a conscious effort to resist sin, pursue holiness, and utilize means of grace, such as prayer and the Word of God, to fortify their faith. Effective running also involves being aware of the adversaries of faith, such as the world, flesh, and devil, and actively striving against them.
