How should Christians view doctrines in faith?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should view doctrines as essential teachings that provide clarity and truth necessary for spiritual life.

Doctrine, or teaching, is foundational for the Christian faith. It is through sound doctrine that believers understand God's revelation and the gospel message. As expressed in 1 John 1:5, God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all; thus, adhering to the truth of God's word is essential. Without sound doctrine, spirituality can become distorted. True faith responds not only with belief but also through a life characterized by obedience to God's truth, as found in the Scriptures.
