How should Christians view their own worthlessness?

Answered in 1 source

Christians are called to see themselves as nothing apart from Christ, recognizing that their worth comes from Him.

In the eyes of God, human worth is not based on wisdom, might, or nobility. As Paul illustrates in 1 Corinthians 1:26-29, God deliberately chooses those whom the world considers foolish and weak to demonstrate His grace and power. Christians are to understand that they are 'nobodies' in the grand scheme of human achievement, and it is only through Christ that they possess value and purpose. This perspective fosters a spirit of humility and reliance on God’s strength, ensuring that no one can boast in their own abilities or accomplishments in the presence of God. It reinforces the understanding that salvation and service are solely by God’s grace.
