How should Christians view their unworthiness in service?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should view their unworthiness as a catalyst for deeper service, prompting them to act out of love and gratitude toward Christ.

Christians are often reminded of their unworthiness compared to the holiness of Christ, which serves to humble them and motivate their service. Rather than discouraging action, this sense of unworthiness should ignite a fervent commitment to serve. As John the Baptist acknowledged his unworthiness, believers should likewise take heart in their capabilities to serve, recognizing that it is by God's grace that they are allowed to participate in His work. Their inadequacy can fuel their zeal for doing all things for Christ’s glory.
