How should we seek the Lord according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

We should seek the Lord diligently through prayer, reading His Word, and gathering with His people.

According to the Bible, seeking the Lord involves a multi-faceted approach that includes diligent effort, prayer, and gathering with others in worship. In Mark 2:1-4, we see an illustration of urgency and determination when a group of friends goes to great lengths to bring a paralyzed man to Jesus. Their unwavering commitment serves as an example of how we should approach seeking the Lord with fervor and diligence. We are to seek God where He has promised to be, particularly in the assembly of the saints and through the study of Scripture. Faith comes by hearing, and thus reading the Word of God is essential to deepen our understanding and relationship with Him. Moreover, we should approach Him with a heart filled with expectation and urgency, aware of our dependence on His grace to know Him more.
